Mandla Mandela divorces his first wife ; here is why the lady did

The grandson of the late former president Nelson Mandela divorced his first wife a few weeks ago and the all the legalities have been settled.

According to various reports, Mabunu-Mandela and Mandela married under civil law in community of property in 2004 and she filed for divorce in 2009.


The case dragged on like a soapie in the Mthatha High Court as the pair fought over assets.

According to report,  she fought to stop his remarriages with his other wives, and the husby wasn't happy and therefore it resorted to divorce


Without divulging private information‚ Mandla Mandela said: "The finalisation of the matter which has been before the courts since 2009 is a great relief and enables the parties to carry on with their lives unfettered."

"...We thank all who have been an immense support during this time."
Mandla Mandela has three others wives, he recently went on a vacation with his fourth wife and a brand new baby.
